My career in real estate became my way of helping others embrace this lifestyle, but when I went surfing on November 7, 2021 at Folly Beach, my life changed in an instant.
While surfing that morning, I experienced a devastating wipeout. The fin of my surfboard cut deeply into my right thigh, severing muscle down to the IT band. It took over 100 stitches, muscle sutures, and a lot of intense physical therapy to recover. There were moments when I didn’t know if I’d ever walk normally again. But even through the pain, one thought kept me going: I have to surf again. That vision became my motivation — a reminder that perseverance, mindset, and faith can overcome anything. I held onto that dream — and through sheer determination, I walked again and got back on my board. That same resilience and drive are at the heart of Salty Fin Real Estate.
